For homes up to 3500 sq. ft. the AirScape 2.5 delivers the airflow required for larger homes while maintaining the low-noise profile that AirScape is famous for. In fact, this is our quietest unit. An exceptionally robust industrial-grade fan, isolated through a noise-deadening ducted design puts the 2.5 in a class all by itself. It's more expensive to build, and requires a little more energy to run than the 1.7, but the performance -- in terms of both airflow and noise -- is truly exceptional. Plus, the 2.5 is low-speed-adjustable, straight-forward to install and comes with a hi-flow grill that minimizes noise and looks as unobtrusive as it sounds.

3-year warranty backed by professional support

Not only are the units guaranteed for 3 years, but they're backed by our professional technical support. If you have a problem with your unit -- or just a question -- you'll get prompt, knowledgeable responses from real engineers. Guaranteed.

AirScape 2.5 Test results and Review

3

We Installed this 2.5 last week. Here are the test results !
The sound was louder than the manufacture claims at 70 DB however the customer was still satisfied with the results. This 2500CFM fans output was between 2400-2800 CFMs with approx 5 Sqft of free air venting.

I am planning on installing the Airscape 2.5 in my 2400 SQ FT

Hello.

One of the issues I am concerned about it the amount of air the unit moves. I have a 2400 SQ FT. home and was originally told the 1.7 Airscape would do however the airflow would probably not be noticable compared to the standard whole house fan and they suggested the 2.5.

So does the 2.5 unit move air noticebly? I would not expect it to have the same air movement as a standard WHF but also not as loud.

1.7 vs 2.5 doesn't seem like much variance.

1.7 vs 2.5 doesn't seem like much variance.

Well-
There is a difference in a couple of ways-
1. The 1.7 is basically a 1700 cfm fan unit. The 2.5 is basically a 2500 cfm fan.
That is approx 800cfm more out put. Both these fans will cool your home off in a cost effective way- the differece is one will take a bit longer to meet the objective.
2. Both of these unit are quiet. We test our fans to verify the output as well as the sound levels. The 2.5 has been found to be quieter than the 1.7- Most likley because of the design.
The 2.5 motor unit is mounted in the rafters away from the ceiling and off of the ceiling joists. Almost exacatly like the Quiet Cool line up of fans.
AirScape claims that the 1.7 is suitable for a 2400SQFT home. We Have installed the 1.7 in many homes close to this size and our customers are satisfied. Please know that when we install these fans in compliance with the Nationally Accepted HVI Standard our customers are VERY Satisfied! Just email us the total sqft of your home and how many floors you have and we will provide you with a number of cost effective cooling solutions from several manufactures that will save you at least 75% on your electric bill ! http://www.suburbanfan.com/free-estimate
