Yes it is different- they changed the motor style to a capacitor start motor a while back- presumably due to all of the motors that failed. The revised style is more like the upgraded HI-25 and works well.

I took the defective motor out of our customers attic fan.
On the side of the fan the model number was barely visable on a sticker that read HI-22 by Leslie Locke.
When I saw the HI-22 on your website it looks different. Is that just a generic photo?

It was working very sporadically and started making a horrible noise. I removed it today and found this site during my search for a replacement. The model number of the fan motor is A0524B2378, E62788. The complete ID plate on this model also states: 120v., 60hz., 5.1 amp., E92815 EPC THERMALLY PROTECTED L E62862. Please let me know what I can do to get a replacement, or repair of the motor. Just a word of thanks.
I purchased 3- Pro3 Lifetime Warranty attic fans from Home Depot in 1998.
One of the fans died in 2007. The installation company that installed the fans ( Midwest Installations ) went out of business as well as the Manufacturer Leslie Locke who also went out of business. So I just bought another fan and had it installed.
Last year both of the remaining attic fans crapped out. I was surfing the net and came across you guys. Because of you I was able to get 2 brand new replacements under the original lifetime warranty with a company that is no longer in business! You guys are awesome !
