The QUIETCOOL QC-3200 (U.S. Patent #7497774) is an innovative whole house fan that is not mounted to the ceiling but instead is suspended in the attic with straps from the roof rafters. It's connected to an attractive ceiling grill with two patented acoustical insulated flexible ducts, thus eliminating all vibration, rattle and noise in the house. It is so quiet in operation that it can be installed in a bedroom or sleeping room but with the large volume of air it would be more suited in a loft or central hallway.

It can be installed almost anywhere in the ceiling as long as there is an attic above or adjacent to. It fits between 16" on center framing, requires no carpentry work to install, and takes less than half the time to install as a conventional whole house fan. It comes with two separate motors and ducts, allowing for two-speed operation by running only one motor or both motors. Each motor has insulated, positive closing damper doors that prevent the intrusion of attic air back into the house when they are not in operation.
